Privacy Statement

How your information is handled.

Last updated: May 2026

Your privacy matters, especially when the topic is your mental health. This page explains, in plain language, what information this website collects, how it is used, and what to be aware of before you send anything sensitive.

Important note about confidentiality: This website and its contact tools are not a HIPAA-compliant clinical communication channel. Please do not share detailed health information, diagnoses, or other protected health information through the contact form, scheduling tool, or email until a counselor–client relationship has been formally established and a secure communication method is in place.

What this site collects

This website collects only the information you choose to share with it:

  • Contact form submissions — your name, email address, and the message you write.
  • Consultation bookings — your name, email address, the time you select, and any notes you choose to include.
  • Basic site analytics — anonymized data about page visits (such as country and browser type) that helps me understand how the site is used. No advertising trackers are used.

How your information is used

Information you submit is used only to respond to your message, schedule a consultation, and follow up with you. It is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes — ever.

The tools this site relies on

Like most professional websites, this site uses a small number of trusted third-party services. Each handles the information you submit according to its own privacy policy:

  • Cloudflare — hosts and delivers this website. Privacy policy
  • Calendly — manages consultation bookings. Privacy policy
  • Formspree — delivers contact form messages to my private inbox. Privacy policy
  • Google (Gmail) — my private email inbox where messages are received. Privacy policy

These tools are appropriate for general business communication. They are not set up as HIPAA-covered services for the protection of clinical health information. Once you become a client, we will move all clinical communication to a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform.

How long information is kept

Contact form messages and consultation booking records are kept only as long as needed to follow up with you or maintain reasonable business records. You may request that I delete any information you have shared with this website at any time by reaching out through the contact form.

Your rights

You have the right to know what information I hold about you, to request a copy, to request corrections, and to request deletion. Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act and similar laws, you may also have additional rights depending on where you live. To exercise any of these rights, send a message through this site and I will respond personally.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and no information is knowingly collected from anyone under 13.

Updates to this policy

This statement may be updated occasionally as the site evolves or as the law changes. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any revisions.

Questions

If anything on this page is unclear, or if you have questions about how your information is handled, please reach out through the contact form on the home page and I will respond personally.
